In addition to the following description notes, further background information and restoration details can be found on my Vintage & Traditional Guitars website, on this link....https://www.vintagetraditionalguitars.co.uk/details.php?id=611 This is one of Harald Petersen's higher quality model Concert Classical Guitars, made & signed by Harald Petersen himself in 1960s.....the inside label has been slightly damaged in the past, but I believe that I can still see, with the aid of torchlight the remains of a 1966 date. Restoration through the latter part of 2022, completed at the beginning of 2023, included partial rebuild by Colin Keefe, one of this country's foremost luthiers and guitar builders. Originally thought to be an example of Harald Petersen's upper quality Model B, but after recent comparison with the owner's own Model C instrument....the top model of the range...with which it shares the quality Rosewood back and sides, plus detailing, it is thought that in all possibility this may also be a Model C...but without model confirmation on the label, we would not wish to make any questionable claims. The dimensions appear to be quite traditional,........Scale Length: 25.6"​/​650mm.(slightly shorter than the 654mm. of earlier Petersens} on a reasonably shallow, slightly "D" profile neck. Body Length: 19 1​/​4"​/​49cm. Body Width: 14 1​/​2"​/​36.8cm. Body Depth Front: 3.55"​/​9cm. Body Depth Rear: 3.65"​/​9.3cm. Nut Width: 2.03"​/​51.5mm. Fingerboard Width @ 12th. fret: 2.35"​/​60mm. Bridge String Spacing: 2.25"​/​57.5mm. Good classical action at the 12th. fret is around 3mm.​/​3.5mm. The high quality of the construction detailing should be apparent in the photos, with handsome black-edged 5-ply to the top & triple binding to the back, both with side inlay stripes, to match back centre stripe, end stripe, intricate inlayed soundhole Rosette, stripe inlays to the Rosewood bridge. The top is Spruce, and the back and sides Rosewood, both very nicely grained and book-matched. There is very substantial period case included, not original to the guitar, but in a distinctive green colour. Alternatively I may be able to supply a Hiscox Liteflite or PRO11 case at modest additional cost, if required.
