This is a really special piece of history, a beautiful Gibson L-00 in a factory sunburst from 1941. Favoured by early blues icons such as Robert Johnson, the L-00 cultivated a fanbase for its compact body and plucky tone. This guitar has really opened up over time, as it's aged it's become rich and resonant with a really present low end and mid range, resulting in powerful, balanced tone and volume. The neck profile is a typical deep 'V' for the era and the body is light as a feather, it's absolutely stunning and a real dream to play! Its certainly seen some life (having been produced in the middle of a world war) but aside from some cosmetic scratches and play wear it's come to our door remarkably unscathed, having only the tuners replaced with Waverly's and a replacement Gator hard case. It comes fully warranted for set ups and servicing for three years included in the price.
