The connection was a bit slow, but it's nothing to worry about.

1980 Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass Guitar Sunburst

Producing all the vintage 'thump' you could ask for, this classic Hofner 500/1 Violin bass has a particularly striking flame maple on the back. This bass dates from the era when Hofner had moved on from their Nova-Sonic 'staple' pickups to the louder output blade pickups, and delivers volume and plenty of low-end, whilst maintaining clarity and the acoustic richness from the hollow body design (which also means it's light as a feather). During the late '70s and early '80s, Hofner had also returned to their engraved logo (rather than stuck on plastic), and tried to improve the durability of the instrument by using metal tuners (over plastic). Teacup dials did not feature during this period, with Hofner reverting to a more subtle and simple black dial. This may not be from the golden era of Hofner violin basses, but rest assured it certainly feels and sounds like it does, and would be a great addition to any studio worth their salt or just someone looking for that classic Beatles-esque tone. Set up with flat wounds and comes with a non-original Hofner case. Will be safely and thoroughly packaged.
