Fender have really gone the extra mile in making this instrument ideal for the beginner. Unlike run-of-the-mill beginner guitars, this one combines softer nylon strings with the narrower nut width (the width of the fretboard nearest to the headstock) usually found on steel string acoustic guitars. The result is the best of both worlds: softer strings to ease you into the process of finger hardening, and familiar neck feel for when you make the step onto steel strings.
