1991 Fender Custom Shop 'Texas Special' 57 Stratocaster 2-Tone Sunburst from the John Page era. This is an extremely cool and rare Limited Edition early Custom Shop Strat from 1991 number 50 from a special run of 50 made. The Fender Custom Shop first started producing guitars in 1987 with two builders so this was built in the early years of the Custom Shop. It was made in Corona, CA using original tooling from 50s​/​60s. Features a nicely flamed maple neck with a '57 style soft V-profile, 9.5” radius fretboard with medium frets, Fender Vintage Style Tuning Machines, 3-way pickup selector (5-way switch included in the case), 3 Custom Shop "Texas Special" (Alnico V staggered pole) single-coil pickups. ash body with 2 tone tobacco Sunburst finish and single ply pick guard. "Texas Special #50" inside the outline of the State of Texas is engraved on the neck plate. Includes Fender Custom Shop black tolex hard shell case with certificate of authenticity, tremolo arm, ashtray cover, extra springs, case key, owner's manual and 5-way switch. In very good condition with a few dings​/​paint chips. Weight: 7lbs 12oz (3.52kg)
