Item in good condition (small marks or scratches) Since their introduction in 1989, Matchless have built a great reputation for building boutique amplifiers with a focus on class-A circuitry! The Matchless Lightning 15 head really showcases the calibre of amps they can build, and delivers a classic EL84 "British Sound" with a scooped midrange, making it ideal for cutting through a mix with clarity and presence. Despite its 15-watt rating, it produces loud output volumes, offering extensive tonal possibilities. The single-channel preamp with interactive tone controls pairs with a powerful dual-EL84 power section and a tube rectifier. It features user-friendly controls for Volume, Interactive Bass, Treble, and Master Volume. Equipped with dual inputs, it uses 2 EL84 power tubes, 3 12AX7 preamp tubes, and a 5AR4 rectifier, with speaker outs for both 4 and 8 Ohms. The amp has been fully tested by our Second-Hand department and is fully functional!
