Release the Kraken!! The Victory VX100 The Kraken has morphed into an even more powerful amp, delivering 100 watts of EL34 tube power. It retains the Brit-inspired Gain I channel for hot-rodded crunch and the US-influenced Gain II channel for a tighter, more focused midrange and bottom end, ideal for modern metal and djent. A new footswitchable clean mode has been added, offering sparkling clean tones with excellent headroom, while the Preamp Focus function can be engaged to add extra punch and tightness to any channel, acting like a boost for more definition. The Gain II channel picks up where Gain I leaves off, providing more overdrive with a tighter low end and focused mids, offering a distinctly American tone. The amp features two Bass Focus switches—one in the preamp and one in the power amp. The Preamp Focus acts similarly to a TS-type pedal, tightening the low end, while the Poweramp Bass Focus adjusts the negative feedback in the power section for looser, more resonant bass or tighter, more focused low-end response. Footswitching options include Gain I​/​Gain II, Clean​/​Crunch modes, Preamp Focus, Poweramp Focus, and dual master volumes, giving you complete control over your tone and dynamics. You can configure the dual master volumes for channel-specific control (Gain I​/​Master I and Gain II​/​Master II) or make them independently footswitchable for two separate volume levels. The amp also features a footswitchable effects loop, and for more advanced setups, full MIDI compatibility is available. The VX100 also comes with a 30-watt low-power mode, perfect for when you don’t need the full 100 watts but still want dynamic tone. The amp uses 4 x 12AX7 preamp valves and 4 x EL34 power valves. It has been fully tested by our second-hand department.
