Tokai Goldstar Sound TST-60,1984 Second-Hand Overview A killer 80's S-style! Tokai Guitars are a renowned Japanese brand founded in 1947 by Tadayouki Adachi in the Hamamatsu region of the country. This 1984 Tokai Goldstar Sound really showcases the calibre of guitar they can build, especially during the mid-1980s which many enthusiasts deem to be their 'golden era'. The guitar is a faithful reproduction of a mid-'60s-style and features an alder body paired with a slim '60s C-profile neck, complemented by a dark rosewood fingerboard and topped with medium-vintage frets. The genuine playwear from the past 40 years has really given the instrument a beautifully played-in feel, the guitar oozes character and feels great to play. The trio of single coils sound great in all five positions and the six-screw synchronised trem performs solidly! The guitar has been fully set up and deep cleaned by our in-house technician and does not include a gig bag or hard case.
