Fender 1973 Original Music Master Dakota Red

Fender 1973 Original Music Master, Dakota Red, Second-Hand Overview An awesome pre-owned Musicmaster at a price you'll love! We’re thrilled to showcase a selection of vintage guitars in-store, including this 1973 Fender Musicmaster in an eye-catching Dakota Red finish, a true gem for collectors and players alike! Originally introduced in 1956 and produced until 1983, the Musicmaster underwent several design evolutions over the years. This particular example features a 24" scale length neck with a comfortable medium 'C' profile, topped with a dark rosewood fretboard and 22 replacement frets, ensuring a fresh, playable feel while maintaining its vintage charm. The neck is stamped November 16, 1972, while the pot codes and neck stamp indicate April 1973, suggesting it was assembled and shipped to its first retailer shortly thereafter. This beautifully preserved piece represents a significant era in Fender's history and remains an inspiring addition to any collection. With the exception of the frets, we believe the guitar to be all-original, thanks to its period-correct Dakota red finish, hardware, neck stamp and pots. It has been set up, restrung and deep-cleaned by our in-house technician and includes a hard case.
