Manufactured in the US in 2023, this bass presents an accurate take on the bass that brought in so many revolutionary designs. This bass features a bolt-on neck construction comprising an Ash body, a 1-Piece Maple neck, and a 20-fret Maple fingerboard. So that it can offer the most authentic vintage experience, this bass comes with a Pure Vintage 2-Saddle Precision Bass bridge with Fiber saddles, Pure Vintage Reverse Open-Gear tuners, and a Pure Vintage ‘54 Single-Coil Precision pickup with a master volume and master tone control. The Maple neck plays very comfortably, with the 1954 ‘C’ profile filling the hand assuringly while still allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The double cutaway body design offers extended access into the upper register. This works well with the Gloss finish to the rear of the neck, allowing for smooth navigation of the 34” scale. The Vintage Tall fret wire combined with the 7.25” radius makes for a great feel under the fingers, and provides the versatility required for a wide range of styles and techniques. The tone of the '54 Precision Bass is exactly what you’d expect from such a traditional design. The single coil pickup delivers a vintage flavour with a snappy response and a defined top. When the tone is rolled off the vintage Fender ‘Thump’ comes through. Each note across the entire fretboard is articulated and balanced with no muddiness in the lower registers and a punchy timbre across all notes. The simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focused on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone.
