Here for sale we have an absolutely lovely Richwood P-65-VA parlor acoustic guitar in Vintage Aged finish. Part of the Richwood Master Series, this guitar was Handmade in Korea and features a set-neck construction comprising a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Laminated Rosewood back and sides, Indonesian Mahogany neck and 18 fret Indian Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double-bound in Ivoroid, the back is adorned with an attractive traditional back-strip, and the top is decorated with herringbone purfling and multi-stripe rosette. The fingerboard is inlaid with Pearloid dots in a long pattern, and Chrome Derjung Deluxe open-geared tuning machines are fitted to the slotted headstock. The Indonesian Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with a profile appropriate for an instrument based on pre-war design. The neck feels rather substantial in the hand, with quite a thick 'C' shape to the rear and a nut width of 1.827". This affords the guitar ample string spacing for accurate fretting and note separation which is perfect for fingerstyle players. The Indian Rosewood of the fingerboard is peasant under the fingers, and along with the attractive pearloid dot inlays adds a touch of luxury to the playing experience. The 14" radius is practical for chordal, melodic and fingerstyle playing, whilst the small body size is supremely comfortable in the arms. The acoustic voice of the Richwood P-65-VA is very well balanced, delivering a delicate and intimate tone which is perfect for fingerstyle playing as well as recording. The Parlor body size is renowned for its even balance, with its small stature reducing any of the 'boominess' often associated with larger body designs. The Rosewood of the back and sides add a depth and character to the sound which more than compensates for the soft bass response. The Solid Sitka Spruce top projects very well, and whilst clearly not the loudest of instruments provides an ample & sensitive dynamic range. A beautiful instrument with an exciting vintage-vibe and the sounds &8 build quality to back it up.
