Here for sale we have a Ovation Applause AE44II electro-acoustic guitar in Ruby Red finish. Made in China in 2019, this guitar features Spruce top with a Lyrachord Mid-Depth back, Nato neck and a 23 fret Ovangkol fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with a set of sealed tuning machines and a Ovangkol bridge, whilst the electronics installed in this guitar are a Ovation CE304T pickup​/​preamp system with controls for volume, 3-band EQ sliders and a built-in tuner. The Nato neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘V’ profile filling the hand without being at all cumbersome and offering an ergonomic playing experience up and down the neck. The Medium frets also enhance chordal playing as well as making articulate melodic playing more practical providing effortless navigation of the entire 10” radius. The cutaway design offers excellent access to the upper register whilst the Mid-Depth back design offers a guitar that feels sturdy and reliable. The voice of the AE44II is dynamic and smooth, with the Spruce top providing a balanced, seasoned tone with plenty of low end power and warm detail. The Lyrachord back adds a snappy, high end tonality to the guitar which compliments the Spruce top well. The preamp system does a great job of interpreting the natural tone of the guitar, whilst the easy to use controls provide the player with comprehensive control of the amplified tone, perfect for a gigging musician. A slight indentation is present to the rear face at the tip of the bass side edge. All other aspects of the headstock display minimal signs of past use. Neck: Overall excellent condition. Any markings to the fingerboard and neck are difficult to discern. Body: Overall excellent condition. Very light scratching is present to the front face, this is common with high gloss finishes. Any other markings to the body are difficult to discern. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Very light denting is present to the fret in the early register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
