Here for sale we have a Dean Razorback DB in Classic Black finish. Made in China in 2007, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Black hardware is fitted including a T-O-M style bridge with a V-Shape string-through-body tailpiece, along with a set of Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. A pair of Dean DMT Design humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volumes and a master tone control. The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a shallow 'C' shape which offers comfortable playability and easy reach across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth & durable playing surface. The 12” radius works in conjunction with the Jumbo frets to make bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The ‘ML’ body design provides the player with unobstructed access to the higher register which is perfect for those high end lead lines, whilst also accommodating both regular and classical seated positions. The controls are well set out, being within easy reach whilst playing without intruding on the playing experience. The pair of Dean DMT Design humbuckers installed in this instrument deliver a thick, punchy tone that can easily handle all of the gain you can throw at them. A notable chip to the front face near the G tuner exposes the wood. The front face demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting. These are consistent enough to cause a slight hazing under some lighting. The top edge demonstrates light indentation in places, with some light discoloration also present here. Neck: Overall very good condition. Very light indentation to the rear of the neck can be felt in the early register. A light scratch mark to the fingerboard can be seen at the 9th fret. None of these markings impact the overall playability of the instrument. Body: Overall good condition. At the edges of the lower points mild chipping of the finish is present, revealing the wood. This is slightly more pronounced on the bass side where the chip[ping continues slightly on to the bass side edge at the side. Lighter chipping is present to the tip of the upper horn. Further indentation and scratching is apparent to all aspects of the body, most notably around the pickup selector. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The cavity control cover has been replaced to an acceptable level, with some gap visible. The truss rod cover is missing two screws but remains secure. The tone control knob is mismatched from the others. Oxidation of the screws is apparent throughout, most notably to the machine heads Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.
