Here for sale we have a Squier Pro-Tone Stratocaster in Olympic White finish. Made in Korea in 1997, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body, One-Piece Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with a 6-Saddle Tremolo and a set of die-cast tuning machines. A trio of Alnico single-coils are installed, these are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, bridge​/​middle Tone and a neck tone controls. The Satin Maple neck plays very well, with the C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The 9.5" radius delivers a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience whilst retaining practicality for lead lines and string bending. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body along with generous body contours are as comfortable and familiar as ever, ensuring that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze. The trio of Alnico Single-Coils installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tone. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting. Light indentations are present to the edges of the headstock some of which have chipped away the finish, this can be seen to the front face below the logo and to the treble side edge on the rear face. Light indentations are present to the tip of the headstock along with light paint transfer. The front face displays very light scratching which can be seen under direct light, this is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, this can lightly be felt under the thumb in the playing position. The fingerboard displays indentations across the register, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the 7th fret, these can not be felt in the playing position. Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body displays light to mild indentations, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the lower bout on the front face, lower bout of the rear face and to the treble side edge lower bout, some of these have pierced through the finish. A lacquer crack is present to the treble side of the neck pocket, this has been test and poses no structural concerns. All faces display light scratching which is visible under direct light. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (hex 4mm) Hardware: Overall very good condition and fully functional. All aspects of the hardware display light signs of past use, most noticeably light tarnishing to the bridge. The scratch-plate displays scratching which can only be seen under direct light, this is common with regular past use. Tremolo arm not included. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar - 10-46 This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise to the low E string which is mildly apparent when amplified.
