Here for sale we have a Takamine EN10c Electro-Acoustic guitar in Satin Natural finish. Made in Japan in 1987, this guitar features a Solid Cedar top, Solid Mahogany back and sides and a Mahogany neck topped with 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Takamine closed-gear Amber tuning machines and top-loading split saddle bridge. This guitar features a Takamine CT4B Preamp System with onboard controls on the shoulder of the guitar. The Satin finished Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the profile resembling a ‘C’, filling the hand without being too cumbersome, inspiring confidence and feeling dependable. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant to the touch and with the 16" radius feeling consistent making fretting a breezy and sumptuous affair in any register. The Dreadnought body size feels great in both seated and standing positions, whilst the single-cutaway offers extended reach to the higher frets. This instrument's voice is warm and detailed, with the solid Mahogany back producing a loud and responsive midrange. The Solid Cedar top provides a balanced tone with plenty of low end power and warm detail. The understated high end of this guitar remains detailed but subtle, adding unique character to this guitar, making this guitar perfect for singer songwriter styles of playing. This is most notable to the top edge of the headstock. Neck: Overall very good condition, the fingerboard demonstrates indentation in the early register which cannot be felt under the strings when playing. Body: Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates several notable indentations and chipping of the finish, causing discoloration through oxidation. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrates moderate signs of wear, with flattening apparent in the early register. This does not affect the playability. There is moderate material remaining for further fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The treble side saddle has been replaced at some point. This has been performed to an acceptable standard. Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
