Here for sale we have a Left Handed Ibanez EW20LASE Exotic Wood Acoustic Guitar in Natural High Gloss finish. Made in China in 2013, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Quilted Ash top, Laminated Quilted Ash back and sides, a Mahogany neck and 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. Other appointments include Ibanez Advantage Bridge Pins, an Ibanez Ivorex II saddle & nut and Chrome Die-Cast sealed tuning machines. The Mahogany neck plays well, with a profile which might be described as a 'U' shape, with a soft ridge to the centre rear which provides a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with the binding and attractive pearloid 12th fret inlay adds a real sense of luxury. The soft Florentine cutaway is nice and deep, greatly improving access to the upper register. Feeling somewhat like a Grand Auditorium size, the body is very comfortable in the arms, and with two strap buttons is also ready for seated or standing performance. The acoustic voice of the Ibanez EW120LASE is bright and clear, and delivers a precise tone which works equally well as a solo instrument as it does as part of an ensemble. The GA body is large enough to produce a strong bass response, which whilst unpronounced overall does manage to add substantial body to the tone. The Laminated Quilted Ash top projects very well, producing plenty of dynamic range whilst remaining sensitive to the player's touch. A very striking instrument which is sure to stand out from the crowd. Light scratching is present to the front and rear face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. Neck: Overall excellent condition. Any markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall very good condition. Light scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most noticeable to the rear face lower bout. Denting is present to the rear face, most noticeably to the lower bout. Cracking to the finish is present where the neck meets the body on both the bass and treble side. This does not flex under pressure, causing no structural concerns. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (hex 4mm) Hardware: Fully functional with signs of wear through oxidation. This is most noticeable to the strap buttons and machine heads.
