Here for sale we have a Yamaha BB615 electric bass guitar in Gloss Black finish. Made in Taiwan in 2007, this bass features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a vintage-style top-loading bridge and open-geared tuning machines. A set of Yamaha PJ single-coil pickups are installed, these are wired to a master volume, pickup balancer and 3-band EQ. The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a moderately-sized 'D' shape which offers comfortable playability and easy reach in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 34" scale, whilst the generous double cutaways enhance access to the upper frets. The Rosewood for the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 10" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. This bass is equipped with Yamaha PJ pickups. This is a versatile combination which delivers a deep and powerful tone. They provide plenty of depth, warmth and a rounded low end that works very well with the clear, precise mids and glistening trebles. There is plenty of grunt on offer, with a fast attack that will keep your playing front and centre. The simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focussed on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone. The simple control layout allows the player to blend the pickups in any combination, and with independent tone controls there are a very wide range of tones on offer. The 3-band Active EQ allows the player to have complete control over their tone with easy accessibility.
