Here for sale we have an ESP LTD EC-50 electric guitar in Titanium Metallic finish. Made in Indonesia in 2005, this guitar features a bolt-on neck construction comprising a Basswood body, Maple neck and 24 Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. Black Nickel hardware is fitted, including a TOM style bridge and stopbar tailpiece, along with a set of sealed ESP tuning machines. A pair of passive ESP LH 150 humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volumes and a master tone control. The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile resembling a ‘C’ feeling nicely slim and articulate in the hand. The neck remains substantial enough to sustain a firm grip for chord playing, whilst offering practicality for fast technical playing. The Rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register, and with its 12" radius and extra jumbo frets delivers a rock-solid playing experience with enhanced string bending and vibrato feel. The pair of ESP LH 150 humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and crushing tones, well suited to heavy rock, metal and thrash genres. The neck pickup is round and full bodied, and with plenty of power to push your solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter, and with a hotter output can easily push your amp into a searing, saturated distortion tone. The controls are nice and simple whilst offering plenty of scope for tone-shaping. The first volume control is actually for the bridge pickup, which is a common feature on metal oriented guitars, allowing you to easily dial in your perfect sound on the pickup which gets the heaviest use. The top edge of the headstock displays scuffing and light indentation one of which has pierced through the finish exposing the wood the the treble side tip. Light scratching to all faces is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use. Body: Overall very good condition. Light indentations can be seen to the rear face treble side edge, one of these has pierced through the finish exposing the wood beneath. Light to mild indentations are present to the front face lower bout, some of these have pierced through the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood. Lacquer cracks are present to both sides of the neck pocket, these pose no structural concerns. Light to mild scratching is present to all faces of the body, these can only be seen under direct light. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (4mm hex) Hardware: Overall very good condition. The screws for the pickup rings display light oxidation. All other aspects of the hardware display light to mild past use.
