Here for sale we have a Fender Blacktop Jaguar HH electric guitar in Black finish. Built in 2011 this bolt-on constructed guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include an Adjusto-Matic bridge, and a pair of Hot Vintage Alnico humbuckers, wired to master volume​/​tone controls and a 3-way toggle switch. The Maple neck plays well, with Fender's Slim 'C' profile filling the hand nicely without feeling too large or cumbersome. Certainly, it's a profile that most players will get along very well with as it is slim enough for fast, articulate playing whilst also providing a sense of character and dependability. The Jaguar is notable amongst Fender's guitars for its 24" scale length. This reduces the tension on the strings for a slinkier feel, as well as slightly reducing the distance between the frets which helps with easy navigation of the fretboard. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 9.5" radius remains practical for lead lines and string bending whilst retaining the vintage-inspired feel of the instrument. The humbuckers sound thick and full, with a rich low end, tight and punchy mids, along with a crisp and articulate top end. The neck pickup is warm and round, and delivers plenty of power to drive the amp and push your solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter and hotter, meaning that your rhythm parts can get as overdriven or distorted as you like, perfect for the grunge and punk genres that this guitar has become associated with. The controls are well set out too, meaning that you can stay in full control of your tone at all times. Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a patch of consistent light scratching towards the bass side waist which is visible under direct lighting at certain angles. Further scratching can be identified to all aspects of the body, with the rear face demonstrating light buckle rash. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional.
