Here for sale we have an Epiphone Thunderbird Classic-IV Pro Electric Bass in Vintage Sunburst finish. Made in Indonesia in 2014, this bass consists of a 7-ply Mahogany​/​Walnut Laminate thru-neck, Mahogany Body Wings, and a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a 3-Point adjustable 3 point bridge, and Epiphone premium die-cast Tuners with historic "Clover" buttons. The pickups that are installed are a set of Gibson USA TB Plus Humbuckers that are wired to two independent volume controls and a master tone control. The '60s Rounded' 7-ply Mahogany​/​Walnut Laminate neck profile feels incredibly comfortable in the hand whilst playing, especially when fretting with the smooth Rosewood fingerboard underneath. The Reverse Offset body shape is comfortable in the arms, and allows for a logical control layout that is easily accessible without being in the way. Amplified, the Gibson USA TB Plus Humbuckers provide a fantastic fundamental bass tone, with a deep rumbling low end that will fill out any mix. The mid range is warm and adds a distinct character to the tone, whilst the high end frequencies add a nice snappy fast attack. The individual volume controls allow you to blend the neck and bridge pickups in any combination, providing a versatile range of tones suitable for a multitude of musical settings. Further indentation can be seen to the perimeter of the headstock, most notably to the treble side edge. Some attempt at touch up has been performed by the previous owner showing that the front face edges have been coloured over with a sharpie by a previous owner. Light scratching is apparent to all aspects of the headstock visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Neck: Overall very good condition. There are small lacquer cracks on each side of the nut, these can be felt under the fingers but do not affect the structure. The rear of the neck demonstrates a light indentation cracking the finish to the bass side behind the 4th fret. The fingerboard demonstrates light "roundwound markings" where the strings have worn slight grooves into the fingerboard. This cannot be felt under the string and does not affect playability. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates consistent light scratching causing hazing of the finish towards the bass side waist. The bottom edge demonstrates several chips and indentations, cracking the finish and revealing the wood beneath in places. This is most notable to the treble side bottom corner and rear edge of the treble side horn. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.
