Here for sale we have a Yamaha PAC1511MS Mike Stern Signature in Gloss Natural finish. Made in Japan this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body, Maple neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Maple fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with a 6-Saddle string-through-body bridge and Gotoh SD91 6-in-line tuning machines. This guitar has been modified with a pair of EMG pickups, a EMG-RT in the bridge and a EMG 85X in the neck, these are wired to a 3-way blade selector, master volume and master tone control. The Maple neck plays well, with the 'C' profile feeling comfortable in the hand and offering comfortable playability in all registers. The Maple fingerboard provides a durable playing surface, and with its 7.25" radius strikes a nice balance between easy chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending. The familiar lines of the body feel great in the arms, with the contours providing a comfortable playing experience in both standing or seated positions. The EMG pickups installed into this guitar provide a vast array of tones for the user to explore. The EMG-RT is a new take on the classic Telecaster pickup, this pickup gives you all the twang and punch you'd expect with incredible clarity and definition with no hum. This pickup provides players that classic chime and a rich low end. When overdriven, this pickup screams with incredible sustain and edge. The EMG-85X has an organic and open voice thanks to the added headroom and response known to the EMG X Series. Featuring close aperture coils loaded with Alnico V magnets, the 85X is a powerful guitar pickup with exceptional tone and versatility. The Alnico magnets of this model provide a muscular growl and smooth lead tones enabling you to play everything from the blues to the most extreme metal. Light scratching is apparent to the front face visible under direct lighting. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck displays multiple instances of discoloration, most notably in the upper register and to the heel of the neck. The fingerboard demonstrates scratching piercing the finish in places which cannot be felt under the finger. Body: Overall very good condition, the rear face demonstrates moderate scratching to the centre and towards the bass side shoulder. Light indentation is apparent towards the bottom edge with a moderate chip revealing the wood beneath. Condition of Frets: The frets show moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Flattening of the frets is noticeable through the entire register. There is a small amount of material remaining for any light fret work the new owner may wish to perform. This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is not apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
