Here for sale we have a Line 6 Variax JTV-59 James Tyler in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Built in 2016 this set-neck constructed guitar features a Mahogany body with a carved Maple top, a set-in Mahogany neck with a James Tyler ‘59 neck profile, and a 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Tyler designed wraparound bridge, along with a pair of vintage-voiced alnico humbuckers and an L.R. Baggs Radiance Hex piezo pickup system. The humbuckers are controlled by master volume​/​tone pots and a 3-way toggle switch with the pair of Variax rotary switches controlling model switch and alternate tunings. The ‘59 neck profile feels chunky and round in the hand and the gloss finish makes for a slick and comfortable playing surface. The medium jumbo fret wire gives you plenty to work with when bending and the single cutaway​/​contoured neck heel combination gives you unrestricted access to the upper register. The 12” radius ensures that finger styles of playing are catered for as well chordal styles and with the body cutaway providing unobstructed access to the higher frets. The humbuckers give you classic tones, with a thick and creamy, yet not overly hot output. The basses are rich and powerful, the midrange punchy and the highs crisp and articulate. The Variax rotary switches allow you to seamlessly reinvent the guitar, with preset models of classic electric and acoustic guitars, with the option to build your own presets in the Workbench HD software. Alongside the guitar modelling options, you can also change the tuning of the guitar using the rear rotary switch, offering quickfire alternate tunings when playing live. The tip of the headstock displays a scuff mark which has left a white mark to the finish. A notable scratching can be side to the bass side rear of the headstock. Light scratching is present to all aspects of the headstock which can be seen under direct light, this is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall very good condition. A mild indentation is present to the rear of the neck behind the 12th fret treble side, this has broken the lacquer finish and does not expose the wood beneath. Light scratching is present across the register to the rear of the neck, this can be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position. Light 'pitting' wear marks are present to the fingerboard in the early register, this is common with regular past use. Body: Overall very good condition. A mild indentation and scratching can be seen to the bass side edge both on the shoulder and lower bout, these have broken the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light scratching which is visible under direct light, this is common with high gloss finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, with very light indentation in the early register and flattening of the crowns throughout.
