Here for sale we have a Fender 40th Anniversary Stratocaster in Caribbean Mist finish. Made in the USA in 1994, this guitar celebrated Fenders 40 year anniversary with a commemorative medallion on the headstock and a special engraved neck plate. This guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 fret Maple fingerboard. Nickel​/​Chrome hardware is fitted, including a 2-point tremolo bridge and a set of Fender sealed tuning machines. A trio of Fender Single-Coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and bridge​/​middle tone controls. The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender' popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. Moderately-sized, the neck feels practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles and provides easy reach for those tricky chord voicings and big stretches. The Maple of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, providing the look of Maple whilst possessing a tighter grain for a durable playing surface which will surely stand the test of time. The smooth lines and generous cutaways of the Stratocaster body are as comfortable in the arms as ever whilst providing unrestricted access to the upper frets. The trio of Fender Single-Coil pickups in this guitar provide all of the chime and articulation that made the Stratocaster a legendary instrument. Crystalline and bell-like, the pickups provide a crisp and clear tone with plenty of the spank that you would expect from a Strat. Understated lows give way to a smooth mid range and singing high frequencies that will cut through any mix. The traditional Stratocaster control layout is as functional as ever, offering comprehensive control of your sound without being intrusive. Luthier Report Our ID: 128022582015 Weight: 7.8lbs Serial Number: N4171781 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates moderate indentation cracking the finish. This reveals the wood beneath in places. Further light indentation is apparent around the perimeter of the headstock, and to both faces. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light to moderate scratching, with the worst of these markings discoloring the surrounding finish. Overall good condition, the fingerboard demonstrates notable wear throughout but most notably beneath the treble strings in the early to middle register. Regular playing has worn the finish away, exposing the maple beneath. The rear of the neck demonstrates consistent light indentation, discoloration and scratching. The fingerboard edges demonstrate light infrequent indentation and consistent wearing of the finish. None of these markings affect playability. Light delamination is present to the fingerboard, this is most noticeable to the 12th fret. Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation. The most notable of these are apparent to the center of the lower bout and the bass side of the lower bout front face which pierce the finish. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Indentation is apparent in the early register with flattening of the crowns apparent throughout. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1​/​8" hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.
