Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Junior in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2015 for the 100th anniversary of Les Paul's birth, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. A locking wraparound tailpiece is fitted, along with a set of Chrome locking tuning machines. A single Dog-Eared P-90 pickup is installed in the bridge position, and is wired to a master volume and master tone control. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the SlimTaper profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The slightly wider 1.78” nut width retains the traditional Les Paul string spacing, meaning that you are less likely to ‘fall off’ the board during string bending and vibrato techniques. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, whilst its 12” radius ensures a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The single P-90 pickup installed in the bridge position of this guitar delivers a thick and full throaty tone, with a warm low end and driving midrange that is complimented well by crisp and cutting highs. The pickup is nice and bright, perfect for searing rhythm tones that easily cut through the mix to put your playing front and centre. The pickup is fantastic for pushing the front end of an amplifier, whilst offering excellent dynamic control. The simple control layout is not intrusive to the playing experience and offers comprehensive control of your tone; feeling highly interactive and responding very well to subtle changes. Luthier Report Our ID: 128022582013 Weight: 8.15lbs Serial: 150010639 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall excellent condition, the top treble side corner demonstrates a very light indentation that does not pierce the finish. Light to mild scratching of the front face is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall very good condition. A moderate indentation is apparent to the rear of the neck in the middle register. This is likely nitro-burn due to contact with a stand. This can be felt under the thumb in playing position but does not impact the overall playability of the instrument. Further light indentation is visible only under direct light infrequently throughout the register. Body: Overall very good condition. The pickup cavity has been previously routed to accommodate a larger pickup. The pickup has been returned to stock, however some finish chipout is apparent between the pickup and the bridge. Some of the original pickup cavity routing is visible to the treble side of the pickup. The front face demonstrates several moderate indentations cracking the finish to the lower bout and beneath the strings between the pickguard and the pickup. The rear demonstrates light indentation and scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles, consistent with buckle rash. The pickguard shows milder scratching consistent with playwear. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5​/​16" socket) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with very light signs of wear. The tuning machines have been changed for a set of Chrome locking tuners. The original Gibson GeForce tuning system is not included.
