Built in Indonesia in 2018, this Venus is the iconic shape that brought Faith Guitars to the consciousness and features a set-neck construction comprising Solid Mahogany back and sides with Solid Engelmann Spruce top, Mahogany neck and 20 fret fMacassan Figured Ebony fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with a Macassan Figured Ebony bridge and bridge pins and Gold Grover Rotomatic machine heads. This guitar is fitted with Fishman INK3 preamp system which features a 3-band EQ control, Volume control and an integrated tuner. The Mahogany neck plays effortlessly, with its ‘C’ shape neck feeling familiar and ergonomic while the Ebony fingerboard provides a smooth and consistent playing surface. The cutaway makes the upper registers of the fingerboard accessible while the unique shape of the Faith Venus feels comfortable against the body, still being able to deliver big acoustic performances. The all-solid-wood construction makes for a lively and dynamic instrument that responds well to the touch, with the Solid Spruce top giving excellent clarity and midrange punch, while the Indonesian Mahogany back and sides offer plenty of warmth and a smooth transient response. The Fishman INK3 preamp really enhances the voice of the guitar, in a simple and easy-to-use package, great for gigging with. Neck: Overall very good condition, some delamination of the finish is apparent in the middle register of the rear and along the bass side of the fingerboard. This can be slightly felt under the thumb but does not affect the overall playability. The neck also demonstrates consistent indentations on the rear that can be felt. Body: Overall very good condition, a moderate indentation is apparent to the front edge at the bass side of the lower bout. This pierces the finish slightly. Further light indentation and chipping of the finish is apparent to the rear edge of the treble side lower bout. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use. there is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional.
