Built to celebrate Marshall’s triumph 30 years in the business, this amp encompasses the full range of Marshall's classic tones, with everything from crystal cleans and crunchy overdrives through to fire-breathing high gain distortion. Built as a predecessor to the JVM line of amplifiers, this amp offered classic tones with a modern twist, Mode A-B/B-C injected the overall tonality of the amp with legendary Super Lead/JTM45 and JCM 800/JCM900 tones. Features: Three completely independent channels. High/Low input pick-up compensation switches. Clean channel with volume, 3 band EQ plus bright and mid shift switching. Crunch channel with 3 modes, plus gain, volume and 3 band EQ. Lead channel with gain, volume, 3 band EQ, plus boost and contour switches. Effects balance control. Low volume compensation switch. 100w Pentode/50w triode switch. High/low power switch. Damping select switch. Effects loop with level, series / parallel and trim controls. Balanced compensated line out. Channel selection via MIDI. Footswitch. Three Channels, Total Tonal Range One of the most impressive features of the 6100 is its three-channel design: Channel 1: Delivers clean tones that range from warm and glassy to crisp and pristine, making it ideal for jazz, blues, and funk. Channel 2: Known for its classic Marshall crunch, this channel offers punchy, mid-driven tones that are perfect for classic rock and blues. It has switchable modes to replicate the sounds of iconic Marshall amps from the JTM45 to the JCM800. Channel 3: Provides high-gain sounds with modern aggression, making it ideal for metal, hard rock, and lead playing. This channel captures the searing tone associated with 80s and 90s rock. Each channel is completely independent with its own EQ and gain controls, allowing you to switch between clean, crunch, and lead tones seamlessly—ideal for versatile performers who need flexibility in their setup. Here's what Marshall have to say about the 1936 Lead cabinet: The compact, 150-watt Marshall 1936 cab is perfect as an extension cabinet for combos and can also support full-sized amp heads. Loaded with two Celestion G12T-75 speakers, the 1936 makes great sense if you want the classic Marshall sound and look but have restricted space onstage or in your home studio. The 1936 cabinet pairs well with small low-wattage Marshall heads like the DSL15 or DSL1H, letting you form a portable and practical half-stack rig. Its G12T-75 speakers have a slightly softened high-frequency response which makes it great for modern high-gain tones. The 1936 can be used in mono or stereo mode, without the need to switch.
