Here for sale we have a Fender American Standard Stratocaster in Inca Silver finish. Made in the USA in 1997, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-point American Standard tremolo bridge with block saddles, and a set of Fender Standard​/​Sealed tuning machines. A trio of Fender American Standard Stratocaster single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and neck tone controls, as well as Fender's 'No-Load' tone control for the middle and bridge pickups. The Maple neck plays well, with a ‘C’ profile that provides a comfortable playing surface whilst encouraging ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth transitions up and down the neck, making it easy to navigate the 25.5" scale. The 9.5" fingerboard radius provides a nice balance between vintage feel and modern playability, ensuring comfortable chord playing and practicality for string bending. String bending and vibrato techniques are enhanced by the medium jumbo frets whilst adding rock-solid sense of dependability to the playing experience. The familiar Stratocaster control layout keeps things simple whilst offering comprehensive control of your tone. The trio of American Standard single-coil pickups deliver a fairly traditional set of tones, without sounding overly vintage-inspired. They work well for a variety of genres; delivering sparkling cleans and bright funky tones, all whilst responding well to overdrive and distortion. There is plenty of roundness and power in the neck position, whilst brightness increases as you move towards the bridge position. The inclusion of the bridge tone control is a welcome modern addition, giving you full control of the output from all 3 pickups. Being a 'No-Load' tone control means that it operates as a normal tone from 1-9, and completely removes it from the circuit at 10 to send the full unfettered signal from your pickup straight to the output. A mild indentation is apparent to the front bass side edge between the D&G tuners. This indentation chips the finish, revealing the wood beneath, which has discolored slightly over time. Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard. Body: Overall excellent condition. The pickguard shows light scratching consistent with playwear. Any other markings to the body are difficult to discern. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
