Here for sale we have a Fender Player Stratocaster in Sonic Red. Made in Mexico in 2018, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body with 3-ply 3-Ply Black​/​White​/​Black pickguard. The 21 fret Pau-Ferro fingerboard is matched with a Gloss finished Maple neck. This instrument is fitted with Chrome hardware including a Floyd Rose Special Double-Locking Tremolo and Fender standard Sealed tuning machines. The pickups in this guitar are an EMG-81 humbucking pickup in the bridge and two EMG-S Single-Coils wired in a conventional Stratocaster layout, with a 5-way blade pickup selector, master volume, neck tone control and middle tone control. The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the Modern 'C' profile allowing for easy fretting in any register and providing ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 9.5” radius makes bending and vibrato techniques a breeze, whilst offering a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for quick lead lines. The Medium Jumbo frets enhance vibrato techniques at speed whilst also providing a rock-solid and smooth playing experience while still giving that conventional Fender feel. The pickups consist of an EMG 81 in the bridge position and two EMG-S Single-coils. These pickups provide long sustain and crystalline high end with the bridge pickup sounding bright and glistening with plenty of bite. Power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup sits great with a nice balance of bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup is smooth, with a beautiful warm, rounded tone that handles distorted tones masterfully. The standard Stratocaster controls offer comprehensive control of your tone all at the fingertips. A slight indentation to the top of the the treble side edge, this has pierced the finish. All other aspects of the headstock display light signs of use. Neck: Overall very good condition. Moderate wear marks are present across the register of the fingerboard, this is consistent with regular past use. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has slightly polished to a gloss texture, this is common with regular past use on satin finishes. Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light indentations and scratching which can only be seen under direct light, these have not pierced the finish. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1​/​8 hex) not included. Hardware: Overall very good condition. The two screws for the input jack plate have been replaced with the screw on the lower end having little thread left. The scratchplate displays mild scratching which can only be seen under direct light, this is common with regular past use. The back plate for the springs is missing. Tremolo arm is included. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar - 9-42 This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is mildly apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this. Electrics: Fully functional. The original pickups have been replaced with a EMG 81 in the bridge and a [pair of EMG-S in the neck and middle positions, the original pickups are not included.
