Here for sale we have an Ibanez Ergodyne EBD500 Electric Bass in Gray Pewter finish. Made in Korea in 2002, this bass consists of a Luthite body, a 3-piece Maple neck and a 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This bass is fitted with a Chrome Ibanez Standard 4 bridge and sealed tuning machines. The pickups featured consist of a Ibanez DXH-MN in the neck position and a Ibanez DXH-MB in the bridge position, these are wired to a bridge volume, neck volume, master tone and a Phat EQ. The 3-piece Maple ‘EDB4’ neck profile allows you to navigate the Rosewood fingerboard with ease, allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 12” radius provides a comfortable playing surface and with the 1.49” nut width allows for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The Gloss finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register. The pair of Ibanez DXH-M active pickups produce a modern voicing, which offers a massive reduction in noise, the thick low end is complemented by driving mids and sparkly top end that helps put your playing front and centre in the mix. The simplistic nature of the control layout provides the player with an easy ‘plug in and go’ characteristic for ease of tonal sculpting. Luthier Report Our ID: 103032582560 Weight: 8.9lbs Serial: C02120999 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates some scuffing, a chip revealing the wood beneath, the front face demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The sides demonstrate circular scratching consistent with the use of a string winder. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates consistent light indentation in the middle register, one of these indentations chipping the finish. These can be slightly felt under the thumb in playing position, but do not affect the overall playability. Body: Overall excellent condition, there is some light scratching visible to the front face beside the controls which do not pierce the finish. It is difficult to discern any other markings to the body. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work​/​ Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. Structural: The neck has pulled forward over time, causing a change in neck angle from the body. This affects playability in the very upper register causing some fret buzz in the E and A strings.
