Here for sale we have an Aria Pro II PE-350STD electric guitar in Aged Black finish. Aria Pro II's PE Series was introduced in the early '70s, and pioneered the revolutionary 'Heel-less' set-neck design. This example was made in China and features a set-neck construction comprising a slim Basswood body, Okoume neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including an Aria Original SPT Bridge & QH tailpiece, as well as a set of vintage-style sealed tuning machines with 'Tulip' buttons. A pair of 'Aria Classic Power' CPH-1C humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls. The Okoume neck plays very well, with a profile which could be described as a fairly slim even 'C' shape which provides a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The 'heel-less' design of the cutaway certainly improves access to the upper register, with the slim body and single cutaway ensuring that playing in the top frets is just as comfortable as the lower register. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The pair of 'Aria Classic Power' CPH-1C humbucking pickups installed in this instrument deliver thick and full-bodied tones, just as we would expect from an instrument of this style. The neck is warm and round, and provides plenty of power for driving your lead and solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge is of course brighter, and with a higher output can produce a saturated distortion tone which works perfectly for rock rhythm parts and riffs. The familiar controls are as effective as ever, offering comprehensive tone shaping possibilities.
