Here for sale we have an Epiphone Dot Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Cherry finish. Made in China in 2007, this set-neck constructed guitar consists of a Laminated Maple body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include upgraded Schaller Deluxe tuners, a Bone nut, an upgraded Gotoh bridge and tailpiece, a cream pickguard, and an upgraded set of Golden Age Humbuckers. These pickups are wired to two independent volume controls, two independent tone controls, a three-way pickup selector, and two pickguard-mounted split coil switches. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a rather slender profile that might be described as a 'D' shape thanks to the flattened area to the centre. This encourages ergonomic thumb positioning for a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles. The pair of Golden Age humbucking pickups deliver thick and full-bodied tones, well suited to a wide range of playing styles and genres. The semi-hollow construction provides an open and airy tone with a nicely sensitive dynamic range. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power to push your lead and solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge position is of course brighter, and can handle a surprising amount of gain to produce a searing raw tone which is great for anything from blues to hard rock. The pickguard-mounted split coil switches add even more range, and offer plenty of single-coil twang. Our ID: 111032585220 Weight: 8lbs Serial: EE 07111961 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. A very light chip to the finish is present to the front face bass side point, this has very slightly pierced the lacquer finish but does not expose the wood beneath. All other aspects of the headstock display light scratching which can be seen under direct light, this is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall very good condition. Very light lacquer cracking is present to both the bass and treble side of the nut, these have been tested and present no structural concerns. Fading of the red finish can be seen to the bass side of the neck at the 2nd fret and the treble side in the early register, these can not be felt in the playing position. A light indentation is present to the 1st fret of the fingerboard, this can not be felt in the playing position. Body: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can be seen under direct light, this is common with high gloss finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional. Several modifications have been made, including replacement of the tuning machines with Schaller Deluxe, replacement of the nut with a bone one, replacement of pick guard, replacement of the pickup rings, replacement of the control knobs, the bridge and tailpiece have been replaced with a set of Gotoh bridge and tailpiece. No original parts are included. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. The pickups have been replaced with a set of Golden Age humbuckers, whilst a pair of coil tap switches have been installed beneath the pickguard. Case & Accessories Epiphone hard case. Overall very good condition. One of the case latches has broken which does not function, the rest of the latches are fully functional. All other aspects of the case display light signs of past use.
