Here for sale we have a Danelectro Model DC59 Electric Guitar. Made in Korea, this guitar consists of a Masonite body with a wooden frame, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include enclosed tuning machines, chrome hardware, and two NOS lipstick single coil pickups that are wired to two independent stacked volume and tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. The Maple neck plays very well, with what might be described as a rounded 'C' profile that provides comfortable playability in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear ensures that navigation of the 25" scale is a smooth and effortless affair. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 20" radius offers a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The Masonite construction keeps the weight down to just 6.05lbs, meaning this guitar is nice and light on the shoulders. Neck: Overall excellent condition. A very light indentation is present to the rear of the neck behind the 2nd fret, this can only slightly be felt in the playing position. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall excellent condition. A small chip to the finish is present to the front face behind the bridge, this has pierced the finish. Light scratching can be seen to all aspects of the body which can be seen under direct light, this is common with high gloss finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
