Here for sale we have a Greg Bennett GD-112SCE 12 string electro-acoustic guitar. Made in Indonesia in 2016, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Solid Spruce top, Laminated Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. A PPS compensated saddle and nut are fitted, along with a set of Chrome sealed tuning machines. A Fishman undersaddle piezo pickup is installed, and is wired to a Fishman ISYS-T preamp with controls for master volume, phase & contour, as well as an on-board tuner. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a moderately-sized 'C' shape. Certainly on the slimmer side for a 12 string, the neck feels easily manageable across the register, facilitating easy reach and comfortable playability in any fingerboard position. The nut width at 1 11​/​16" is similar to what you'd typically expect on a 6 string, meaning that the playing experience is ideal for those who are new to 12 string playing. The familiar lines of the dreadnought body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, with the cutaway enhancing access to the top frets. The acoustic tone of the Greg Bennett GD-112SCE​/​N is beautifully resonant, with plenty of body & depth. The dreadnought body is renowned for its deep bass response and ample dynamic range, and this works especially well for a 12 string. The Mahogany of the back and sides adds warmth and character to the sound, whilst the Solid Spruce top projects incredibly well, feeling nicely responsive to your right hand. Fishman electronics are practical and reliable as always, faithfully conveying the acoustic tone of the instrument in both live and recording situations. All aspects of the headstock display light scratching which is only visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable to the front face. Neck: Overall excellent condition. The rear of the neck displays light scratching which is only visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the body display light scratching which is only visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable to the rear face. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use. There is plenty of material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
