Here for sale we have an Ibanez AZ226PB in Cerulean Blue Burst finish. Made in Indonesia in 2021, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an American Basswood body with a Poplar Burl top, One-Piece Roasted Maple neck and 22 Jumbo Stainless Steel fret Roasted Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Gotoh T1502 tremolo bridge and Gotoh SG381 MG-T Magnum Lock tuning machines. A trio of Seymour Duncan pickups are installed in an HSS configuration, with Hyperion humbucker in the bridge and Hyperion single-coils in the neck and middle positions. These are wired to Ibanez's dyna-MIX9 switching system, with a 5-way blade switch, master volume, master tone and a 2-way 'Alter Switch' toggle. The One-Piece Roasted Maple neck plays quickly and smoothly, with the AZ Premium profile offering a nicely flat playing surface which is ideal for faster playing styles. The Jumbo fret wire feels rock solid, enhancing vibrato feel and making for effortless bending. The dual cutaways work in conjunction with the ‘Super All Access’ neck heel and tapered lower horn to provide excellent access to the upper register. The hardware keeps the AZ226PB feeling very secure, perfect for more aggressive playing styles that often push instruments out of tune. The trio of Seymour Duncan pickups installed in this guitar deliver a wide range of tones thanks to their HSS configuration. They produce a moderate output for a natural clean voicing, accurately reflecting subtle playing nuances and responding well to small adjustments of the controls. The bridge humbucker delivers a punchy tone, with plenty of brightness to bring your playing front and centre in the mix. The neck and middle single-coils provide a smooth and rounded tone, whilst retaining a shimmer which really shines through with clean tones. The dyna-MIX9 switching system makes use of the 'Alter Switch' to offer series or parallel wiring modes for a total of 9 different configurations. Very light markings can be seen to the tip of the headstock, these have not broken through the finish. Any other markings are difficult to discern. Neck: Overall excellent condition. Very light black markings can be seen to the 5th fret of the fingerboard. Any other markings are difficult to discern. Body: Overall excellent condition. The front face displays some light scratching besides the bass side of the neck pocket and the upper horn on the treble side. Light scratches are visible throughout as is common with high gloss finishes, and none of which detract from the excellent condition of the guitar.
