Made in Mexico in 2022, this guitar features Layered Sapele Satin finished back and sides, a Sitka Spruce top, a Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. This guitar is fitted with a set of sealed tuning machines, along with a Tusq saddle and nut. The Mahogany neck plays effortlessly with Taylors narrow neck profile providing a comfortable playing experience that is approachable for many different playing genres. The Matte finish to the rear ensures a smooth easy playing surface that assists with transitions up and down the neck. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant to touch, and with its 15” radius and offers a consistent yet light feeling playing surface right the way up the neck. The Grand Auditorium body design feels light and with the comfortable contours of the body feels great in the arms in both standing and seated positions. The voice of the Taylor 114 is finely balanced, with the Layered Sapele back and sides providing a deep, rich low end and strong mids. The Sitka Spruce top adds a warmth and brightness to the sound that beautifully colours every note played on the instrument. The Grand Auditorium body shape is renowned for good projection, and the sound of the Taylor 114 is certainly powerful.
