Here for sale we have a Vintage VJ74 Electric Bass in Gloss Black finish. This bolt-on neck construction consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include open-gear vintage-style tuners, a 4-saddle Chrome bridge, and two Wilkinson Jazz Bass Single Coil pickups that are wired to a neck volume, bridge volume, and a master tone control. This Maple neck, with typical "D" profile found on most Jazz basses, plays very comfortably. The satin finish to the rear makes for fluid and tactile playing surface while the Rosewood fingerboard offers a durable platform for the player's fingers. Classic Jazz Bass body contours are comfortable in the arms, with the cutaways giving great access to the upper register. The two Wilkinson Jazz Bass single coil pickups that come with this guitar provide excellent articulation and clarity, which is exactly what you want when playing the fretless bass so that the unique timbre can be heard cutting through the mix at all times. The simple control layout means you dial in warm, low end Jazz tones or punchy bridge tones that cut straight through the mix. Light discoloration is present to all aspects of the headstock, most noticeably to the treble side of the rear face. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching throughout the register. Some discoloration is apparent throughout the register. Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to moderate scratching, this is most prominent to the rear face where the scratching has pierced the finish. Light indentations are apparent to all aspects of the body, these have not broken through the finish. Condition of Frets: Light signs of wear with moderate material remaining for future work.
