The 'Hog Top'! This is a really unusual and limited Les Paul for Gibson's early 90's production. Before Gibson officially opened their Custom Shop in late '93, they would allude to its arrival by releasing small, limited runs of inventive reissues such as this! Whilst loosely built to '56 Les Paul spec with the ABR-1 Bridge and two Gibson P-90s with cream plastics, this guitar then starts to stray from the path. With its mahogany top (one of the defining features that separated standards from customs in '56), single piece mahogany back, and a slimmer, flatter neck profile than you would expect from a vintage reissue. Its got a whole life and feel of its own! Its a wonderful and rare piece of Gibsons production history, in lovely condition. The only changes are the strap buttons and the jack plate.
