Here for sale we have a Hagstrom Swede vintage electric guitar in Cherry finish. Made in China. A set-neck construction is employed; the body and neck are made from solid Mahogany, with a 22 fret Resonator wood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including a Tune-O-Matic style bridge and Hagstrom tuning machines. A Hagstrom humbucking pickup is fitted in the neck whilst a Seymour Duncan Nazgul humbucker is in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way pickup toggle,Split-Coil toggle and independent volume and tone controls. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with what might be described as a slim 'D' profile that sits comfortably in the hand and provides easy reach in all registers. The neck is broad enough to provide a substantial grip for chords whilst remaining slim enough for lead lines and articulate playing. The Resonator fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, and with it's 12" radius provides a smooth and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The single cutaway body design offers improved access to the upper frets, whilst the controls are set out within easy reach without intruding on the playing experience. Sonically, the Hagstrom Swede covers a lot of bases. The neck pickup is round and creamy, delivering both power and clarity for your solo tones, The bridge is brighter and offers an excellent platform for rock rhythm sounds. The tone switch offers 3 distinct voices ranging from a dark and moody tone that would be at home as part of a jazz ensemble right through to searing brightness that will catapult you to the front of the mix. This is a very versatile guitar with serious vintage-mojo at a wallet-friendly price point. Our ID: 128042596453 Weight: 8.7lbs Serial: M07010374 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. Mild chipping of the finish is present to the top edge of the headstock, these have pierced through thew finish exposing the wood beneath. Very light scratching is present to the front face of the headstock, these can only be seen under direct light as is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall very good condition. Very light scratching is present to the rear of the neck, the most noticeable of these can be seen behind the 10th fret. Light cracking can be seen to both side of the the neck binding, as is common with binding and temperature changes. Light glue residue is present to the heel of the neck from where a sticker was previously. Body: Overall very good condition. Mild indentations can be seen to the body which have pierced through the finish exposing the wood beneath, the most noticeable of these can be seen both to the rear face treble side horn and bass side lower bout. Another indentation can be seen to the front face between the pickups, this has pierced the lacquer finish but does not expose the wood beneath. Al aspects of the body display light scratching as is common with high gloss finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (3mm hex) not included. Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the metal hardware display light to mild tarnishing. The tone label on the bridge tone knob is missing. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar - 10-46 This guitar demonstrates moderate fret noise when bending the high E string on the 17th fret which is apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this. Electrics: Fully functional.
