Here is my gorgeous Fender Japan ‘62 Reissue (JB62-75US, Vintage Premium) Jazz Bass Guitar in the rarer gloss Black finish, made in 1997, from my own personal collection. These were the non-export models, so not many around. Bought from new during a tour in Japan, the bass has been well looked after and kept in gig bag at room temperature all of its life. This is the US version “Vintage Premium” of the Fender Japan PB62 reissue which has the Alder body, Rosewood fretboard, Jazz Bass Vintage USA Pickups, Spiral Vintage Bridge, so if you’re reading this, you know how fantastic these basses are. It was made at the Dyna Gakki Plant (for Fender Japan), and it rivals if not beats any of my MIA Jazz basses for tone and playability. Comes with Fender gig bag. Great used condition, with only very minor marks etc, but this is to be expected from a 28 year old bass which has so much mojo. I’ve upgraded the brass grounding strip to a wider Fender one found on the original 1962 Jazz basses. The neck is gorgeous to the touch and the tone is superb! Neck is also straight, fretboard conditioned with MusicNomad F-One fretboard oil and truss rod in perfect working order. All setup with new strings and ready to go, this is an absolute stunning bass!
