Here for sale we have a Peavey Predator Electric Guitar in Red finish. Made in the USA between 1990-2000, this bolt-on constructed guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 4-point tremolo bridge, chrome tuners, and a trio of single coil pickups that are wired to a master volume, two tone controls, and a 5-way pickup selector. The gloss Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The gloss Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The 12" radius delivers a very balanced playing experience whilst retaining practicality for lead lines and string bending, further enhanced by the Medium frets. The smooth lines of the S-Type body along with generous body contours are as comfortable and familiar as ever, ensuring that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze. The trio of Single-Coils installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tone. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting. Consistent notable indentation and chipping is app[arent to the top edge, exposing the wood beneath. This continues to a lesser degree around the perimeter of the headstock. Slight discoloration is present to all aspects of the headstock, this is common with natural satin finish. Neck: Overall good condition. A crack is present to the fingerboard, this can be seen at the 22nd fret to the end of the fingerboard, this has been tested and present no structural issues. Chipping and wear marks are present to the fingerboard, these can be seen to the treble side early in the register and to the bass side higher register, these have exposed the wood beneath. Light indentations are present to the rear of the neck throughout the register, the most noticeable of these can be seen behind the 3rd and 5th frets, these can be felt n the playing position. Slight discoloration is present to all aspects of the neck, this is common with natural satin finish. Body: Overall good condition. All aspects of the body display light to moderate scratching and indentations some of which have broken through the finish exposing the wood beneath. The most noticeable of these can be seen to the rear face lower bout edges where moderate indentations have broken the finish. These markings are all consistent and affect all areas of the body. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is light material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Overall good condition. All signs of the metal hardware display tarnishing, oxidation and markings, this is most prominent to the input jack. The scratch plate displays mild scratching which can be seen under direct light. One of the bridge screws has been replaced by a previous owner. Tremolo arm not included.
