Here for sale we have a Fender Showmaster Stratocaster in Tie-Dye Hippy Blue finish. Made in Korea in 2004, this bolt-on neck constructed guitar consists of a Basswood body, Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo bridge, Black Knurled Dome Knobs, a Fender Humbucking pickup in the bridge position, and a Fender Single-Coil in the neck position. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, three-way pickup selector. The Maple neck plays well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand nicely without feeling too large or cumbersome. Certainly, it's a profile that most players will get along very well with as it is slim enough for fast, articulate playing whilst also providing a sense of character and dependability. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 9.5" radius remains practical for lead lines and string bending whilst retaining the vintage-inspired feel of the instrument. The pair of Fender pickups installed in this guitar offer a broad range of tones that pay homage to the past whilst including some modern updates. The neck pickup is warm and round, and delivers plenty of power to drive the amp and push your solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter and hotter, meaning that your rhythm parts can get as overdriven or distorted as you like, perfect for the grunge and punk genres that this guitar has become associated with. The controls are well set out too, meaning that you can stay in full control of your tone at all times. Mild discoloration is present to the edges and rear face, this is common with satin finished Maple and regular past use. A light indentation is present to the tip of the headstock this has very lightly pierced the finish, near this a small paint mark is present. Light scratching is present to the front face of the headstock, these can only be seen under direct light. Neck: Overall very good condition. Moderate discoloration of the finish is present to the rear of the neck most noticeably to the treble side early register, this is common with satin finishes and regular past use. More discoloration is present to the rear and treble side base of the neck. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall good condition. A repair is present at the bass side bridge post, the finish has chipped the finish and does not sit perfectly flat, this have been repaired to a professional level and presents no structural concerns. Light indentations are present to all aspects of the body, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the treble side lower bout of the front face where the indentations has lightly pierced the finish exposing the wood beneath. Light to mild scratching is present to all aspects of the body which can be seen under direct light, this is most noticeable to the rear face consistent with buckle rash. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Flattening of the crown is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
