Here for sale we have a Gibson Memphis Custom Shop ES-335TDC VOS semi-hollow electric guitar in Cherry Gloss finish. Made in Gibson's Memphis factory in 2015,. A set-neck construction is employed, comprising a Figured Maple​/​Poplar​/​Maple body with a period-correct “Window” lightweight Maple centreblock. The Mahogany neck is topped with a 22 fret bound Rosewood fingerboard adorned with Block inlays. Nickel hardware is fitted including an ABR-1 bridge with Nylon saddles and StopBar tailpiece as well as a set of Gibson deluxe tuning machines with 'Tulip' buttons. A pair of Memphis Historic Spec PAF humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to the traditional Es-335 controls. The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with the ‘1963’ profile filling the handle nicely for a substantial and vintage-inspired playing experience. The profile might be described as a 'C' shape, with nicely rounded shoulders which ensure comfort across the register. Certainly, the neck is generously proportioned and produces a unique sensation when compared with modern Gibson neck profiles, making this instrument feel special. Other more familiar appointments include the Rosewood fingerboard with 12" radius which is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques whilst providing a pleasant and tactile playing surface. The familiar lines of the 335 body design are as comfortable in the arms as ever, allowing plenty of space for easy access to the controls. The pair of Gibson Memphis Historic Spec humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, exemplifying the rock and blues sounds that Gibson has long been renowned for. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power for pushing your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The bridge is of course brighter, perfect for rock rhythm parts and riffing because it can handle a serious amount of gain. There is all of the snarl and bite that we associate with rockin' tones, yet at the same time definition and clarity is retained. The pickups clean up nicely too, with shimmering clean sounds ready for the softer sections of the set. The semi-hollow construction ensures a resonant and lively sound, with plenty of dynamic range on offer. A unique vintage-spec ES-335. Our ID: 1270525103061 Weight: 7.7lbs Serial: 51329 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Light chipping is evident on the top corner of the headstock on the bass side. All faces of the headstock demonstrate light scratching. Neck: Overall excellent condition. There is an indentation on the rear of the neck behind the 4th fret on the treble side, it is very difficult to feel this in a playing position. The nut has some slight lacquer chipping on either side consistent with a nut replacement. Body: Overall very good condition. All faces of the body demonstrate light scratching and a slight hazing of the finish. The rear face demonstrates some slightly larger scratches on the lower bout consistent with buckle rash. Condition of Frets: Frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functiona. Truss Rod Tool (5​/​16" Socket wrench) not included. Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Hardware displays light signs of use and oxidaition. Structural: No structural concerns to note.
