Here for sale we have a Fender American Ultra II Stratocaster in Solar Flare finish. The American Ultra II series is Fender's latest offering, and is laser-focussed on high-performance features and surgical precision for the discerning musician. Released in 2024 in the 70th Anniversary year of the Stratocaster, the series is the culmination of everything Fender has learned over the years, in a host of striking new finishes. Made in the USA in 2024, this instrument of course features a bolt-on construction comprising a Select Alder body, Quartersawn Maple neck and Quartersawn Maple fingerboard. Nickel​/​Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-Point American Ultra Synchronized Tremolo and Fender Deluxe Sealed locking tuning machines with short posts. A trio of Fender pickups are installed in an HSS configuration, with a Haymaker humbucker in the bridge and Ultra II Noiseless Hot Strat single-coils in the neck and middle positions. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume with S-1 coil split switch, neck​/​middle tone and bridge tone controls. The Quartersawn Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with Fender's Modern 'D' profile delivering supreme comfort and smooth playability across the register. Fender have selected Quartersawn Maple for its resistance to warping; a cut of Maple which is usually reserved for Custom Shop necks. The compound fingerboard radius is highly practical, offering comfort for chord playing in the lower register and transitioning smoothly to a flatter radius as you climb to the upper frets for precise lead playing. The sculpted neck joint offers arguably the best upper fret access Fender have ever achieved, and along with the Jumbo fret wire for enhanced vibrato and string bending, this is a serious tool for the serious musician. Amplified, the Ultra II in HSS configuration delivers a diverse range of sounds, equipping you for any musical situation like the swiss army knife of instruments. The Haymaker humbucker is new for the series, and delivers a searing output for hard lead lines, but can be split using the dedicated S-1 switch in the volume control for more traditional Strat sounds. The Ultra II Noiseless Hot Strat single-coils produce warmth and clarity with absolutely no noise. This is perfect for modern digital stage set-ups, cutting out the hum and hiss that has been a quirk of the Strat for 70 years. With typically versatile 5-way switching and soft-touch control knobs, it is very easy to dial in the perfect tone whilst playing. This is an instrument which really does live up to the name 'Ultra'. Very light finish cracks are present at either side of the neck pocket. These have been tested and present no structural concerns. Any other markings to the body are difficult to discern. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
