Here for sale we have a Fender Standard Stratocaster in Black finish. Made in Mexico in 2004, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, a Maple neck and 21 Medium Jumbo fret Maple fingerboard. The hardware featured on this guitar consists of a 6-point synchronized tremolo bridge and a set of Fender tuning machines.Two after-market single-coil pickups are installed plus a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Singlecoil in the bridge, these are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck and middle tone controls. The Satin Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface, with the 9.5" radius working in conjunction with the frets to produce an authentically vintage playing experience, allowing for vibrato techniques and complex chordings to be played with ease. The Single-Coils pickups provide all the classic Stratocaster tones that you could wish for. The Seymour Duncan SSl-5 bridge pickup is nice and hot, and can handle a pretty serious amount of gain when called upon. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal sculpting. All aspects of the headstock display very light markings and indentations, these can only be seen under close scrutiny. Neck: Overall very good condition. Mild indentations are present to both the treble and bass side edge of the fingerboard, these can be felt under the fingers in the playing position. Very light lateral scratching can be seen to the fingerboard across the register, these can only be seen under close scrutiny and can not be felt in the playing position. Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching with the most apparent being to the bass side lower bout to the rear face. Light speckles of paint are present to the bass side of the rear face. A mild indentation is present to the treble side edge lower bout, this has pierced the lacquer finish but does not expose the wood beneath. Condition of Frets: The frets display light indentations and flattening of the crown, neither of which impact playability. There is moderate material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (3​/​16" Hex) not included. Hardware: Overall very good condition. Light tarnishing is present to all aspects of the metal hardware. Light scratching can be seen under close scrutiny to the scratch plate. Tremolo arm included. A previous owner has removed the back plate, this is not included. A pickup adjustment screw for the treble side of the middle pickup has been replaced by a previous owner. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Strings on Guitar - 10-46 This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is mildly apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this. Electrics: Fully functional. A previous owner has replaced the pickups with a pair of Fender custom shop single-coils in the neck and middle positions and a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 in the bridge position, the original pickups are not included.
