Tom Anderson Drop Top Black 1991 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Tom Anderson Drop Top Electric Guitar in Black Gloss finish. Made in the USA in 1991, this bolt-on constructed guitar consists of a Basswood body, a Maple top, a Hard Rock Maple neck, and a 22-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard. Other appointments include a Sunken Kahler Steeler bridge, Chrome hardware, a locking nut, Anderson vintage-style tuners, and a set of SK1R, SK1, and H2+ pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, a blower switch, and an Anderson 'Switcheroo' system. The Hard Rock Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with the 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. Certainly, the profile is something that will seem familiar to those used to Fender necks. The Pau Ferro fingerboard offers a smooth and durable playing surface, and with its 12"-14" is tailored to the needs of the musician in all registers; comfortable for chord playing in the lower frets and transitioning smoothly to a lead-friendly flatter surface as you climb the fretboard. The generous cutaways and sculpted neck heel enhance access to the upper register, meaning you can really make use of all 22 Heavy frets. Having always been a highly versatile instrument, the Drop Top with HSS pickup configuration adds the grunt and power associated with a humbucking pickup. Certainly, the H2+ in the bridge position delivers plenty of power for those distorted rhythm parts and heavy riffs. The SK1R, and SK1 single-coils in the neck and middle positions deliver crisp and clear tones which capture the spank and attack of your playing for accurate funky clean tones whilst remaining nicely balanced with the humbucker thanks to being wound so hot. The 'Switcheroo' system is a genius offering from Tom Anderson, with individual 3-way switches for each pickup to choose between regular series/parallel, the versatility this guitar possesses is sure to inspire the player time and time again. The blower switch bypasses the pickup switching options, turning all three pickups on for full unadulterated power.
