Built in Canada, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising Canadian Wild Cherry back and sides topped with a Solid Cedar top, Silver Leaf Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. An undersaddle transducer pickup is fitted, and is wired to a Godin Q1T shoulder-mounted preamp with controls for master volume, bass and treble, as well as an on-board tuner. The Silver Leaf Maple neck plays very well, offering a great feel with its thin ‘D’ shaped neck providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The custom polished Semi-Gloss finish to the rear of the neck is akin to satin, making for effortless transitions whilst feeling pleasing under the thumb. The Rosewood fretboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, and with its 16” fretboard radius provides a balanced surface that greatly lends itself to both chord playing and intricate fingerpicking lines. The sound of the Seagull S6 is very warm and dynamic and thanks to its Solid Cedar top, it has the ability to really project when strummed hard. A warm low end is complemented well by a smooth midrange, whilst the high frequencies are bright and detailed. THe sound of the Seagull S6 really lends itself to the classic singer​/​songwriter sound. The undersaddle transducer pickup is paired with the Godin Q1T preamp, and offers comprehensive control of your sound whilst faithfully conveying the acoustic voice of the instrument.
