Here for sale we have a Gretsch Limited Edition G5120 Jimmy C Pinstripe Electromatic hollow-body electric guitar in Orange​/​Pinstripe finish. Made in Korea in 2014, this guitar was part of a series that let renowned Hotrod painter Jimmy C design a paint job to make a guitar that would stand out from the crowd. This guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, 5pc Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Bigsby B60 Vibrato tailpiece, T-O-M style bridge and open-geared tuning machines. A pair of Gretsch Black Top Broad'Tron pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume, neck volume, bridge volume and master tone controls. The Maple neck plays very well, with the 'U' Shape profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast, articulate playing. The Gloss finish to the rear is pleasant to the touch and assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale. The Rosewood fingerboard provides a tactile and durable playing surface across the register, and with its 12" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles. The smooth lines of the body feel great in the arms, ensuring comfort in both standing and seated positions. Amplified, the hollow-body construction of this guitar helps to deliver an open and airy tone that is uniquely Gretsch. The pair of Gretsch Black Top Broad'Tron pickups provide a thick and full-bodied tone, well suited to a wide range of genres yet retaining their own unique voice. The neck pickup is round and warm, delivering a smooth tone with plenty of power for pushing your solos and melody lines to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is of course brighter, and with a higher output can handle a surprising amount of gain for a seriously rockin' tone. The master volume control is a welcome addition which allows you to control feedback on stage. Light scratching is present to all faces of the body under close scrutiny. Some scuff marks can be seen on the bottom edge of the guitar besides the strap button. Condition of Frets: The frets display minimal signs of use. There is substantial material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
