Here for sale we have a Gretsch G5230T Electromatic Jet FT in an Aleutian Blue finish. Built in 2021 in China this guitar features a chambered Mahogany body, a 22 fret Mahogany neck topped with a Laurel fingerboard with Neo Classic “Thumbnail” inlays. This instrument is fitted with an Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, Bigsby B50 tailpiece and Die-cast tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Black Top Filter’Tron in the bridge and neck. These are wired to their own independent volume controls, a master volume and a master tone. The Mahogany Neck plays very well, with its Thin ‘U’ profile filling the hand without being overly thick, this offers a balanced and smooth playing experience. The gloss finish makes for easy transitions up and down the neck. The Laurel fingerboard provides a durable playing surface while the medium jumbo frets and 12" radius provide a robust and smooth playing experience all across the fingerboard, and enhance string bending and vibrato techniques. The single cutaway body design allows the player to access the higher register with ease, allowing for fast lead lines without any obstruction. The pair of Black Top Filter’Tron pickups sound well balanced, with plenty of warmth in the neck and ‘jangle’ in the bridge.The Chambered Mahogany body sounds loud and clear with full lows and mids with an exceptionally smooth and present high end. The body and the pickups combined produce a balanced and transparent tone.The combination of individual pickup volume controls, master tone and master volume with treble bleed circuit provides intuitive global control over your pickup and tone settings. Neck: Overall excellent condition. Any markings are difficult to discern. Body: Overall very good condition. The rear face and side edges display light scuff marks the entire surface visible under certain light. The rear edge demonstrates signs of wear to the entire perimeter including light scratches and small indentations. The bass side edge displays 2 small chips which break the finish but do not expose the wood beneath. The front face displays light scratches under close scrutiny. Condition of Frets: The frets display a mild flattening of the crown not affecting playability. There is substantial material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
