Here for sale we have a Gretsch G5622T Centre Block Double-Cut semi-hollow electric guitar in Georgia Green finish. Made in Korea in 2014, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body with Spruce centre block, Maple neck and 21 fret Laurel fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece, anchored Adjust-o-matic tailpiece & sealed Grover tuning machines. A trio of Gretsch HiLo'Tron single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch for the neck and middle pickups and a 2-way on​/​off toggle switch for the middle pickup. There is a master volume control and independent pickup volume controls and a master tone. The Maple neck plays very well, with Gretsch's Thin 'U' profile providing plenty of comfort and practicality across the register for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The gloss finish to the rear works nicely with the Laurel of the fingerboard to deliver a smooth, tactile playing surface to explore. The scale length is rather short at 24.6", reducing the string tension compared with Fender and Gibson instruments. This lends a slinky feel to the strings which makes the instrument feel incredibly easy to play. The hollow body is on the large side, but is slim enough to remain comfortable in both standing and seated playing positions. The trio of Gretsch HiLo'Tron single-coil pickups installed in this instrument deliver a smooth and mellow tone thanks to their relatively low output of around 4k ohms. This means they work beautifully on anything from crystalline clean tones to dark mellow jazzy sounds. As a 3-pickup model with an incredible array of controls, much thicker rock tones can also be achieved by engaging all three pickups at once, and with independent volume control of each pickup allowing any combination of blends, there are a seriously versatile range of tones to be found in this instrument.
