Made in 2023 in Mexico, this bolt-on constructed bass consists of an Alder body, Maple neck, and a 20-fret Slab Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a 4-Saddle HiMass Vintage bridge, Nickel​/​Chrome hardware, Knurled Flat Top control knobs, and a set of Custom Troy Sanders active PJ pickups. These pickups have controls for master volume, a pan pot, stacked treble and bass cut​/​boost, and an active​/​passive mini toggle switch. The Maple neck plays well, with the Custom '70s Precision Bass profile providing a lively and articulate playing experience in all registers. The profile is certainly easy to get along with, offering ergonomic thumb positioning and comfortable reach across the neck. The Satin finish to the rear provides a slick and smooth playing surface, ensuring that navigation of the 34" scale is a fast and breezy affair. The Slab Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 9.5" radius delivers a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience across the register. This signature bass is equipped with a pair of Custom Troy Sanders pickups in a PJ configuration. This is a versatile combination which delivers a deep and powerful tone; the best bits of Fender's most iconic bass guitars. They provide plenty of depth, warmth and a rounded low end that works very well with the clear, precise mids and glistening trebles. The ability to switch between active and passive means that there is plenty of grunt on offer, with a fast attack that will keep your playing front and centre. The preamp controls give you full control over your active tone and enable the player to find their own sweet spot.
